I was browsing for some MySQL tutorials today and fell upon one of devarticles.com pages. It provided the basic information needed, however, I couldn't help but feel the ethos of good web design was lost amongst what could only be describes as stupid fuggin adverts and rollovers. Here's what I mean: The main content of the page is lost at the bottom infested with advertising links that popup ugly boxes. The advertising banners overlap the main content article rendering it unreadable. Even the adverts overlap each other.
I appreciate advertising is a lucrative income for popular sites but this is taking things to extremes. devarticles aren't the only one to blame either, many sites plaster huge banners inside the content area giving a meager 2 or 3 words per line.
Well that's my whine over. Quote this article on your site
