I've fixed a small bug in the Latest Comments module by Nils Feberwee and thought it might be useful to post a fix.

We need to strip the slashes from the title, comment and name fields before printing them to the page. We can do this using a PHP function, stripslashes().

Edit modules/mod_latestcomments.php lines 46-48, add stripslashes() around the variables like so:

stripslashes($row->title)
stripslashes($row->comment)
stripslashes($row->name)
